A Short-Form Workflow with GPT Image 2 and Seedance 2.0

Plan the story, approve the visual direction, and move into video generation with fewer surprises.

Image and video models solve different parts of the creative process. A staged workflow lets each one do a focused job and gives you a useful review point before the more expensive video step.

1. Write for a short format

Choose one idea, one emotional turn, and one ending image. For a short-form video, a compact structure is usually easier to follow than a story with many locations and competing subplots.

2. Plan the shot sequence

Turn the story into a small set of shots. Define what changes between each frame: location, action, camera distance, expression, or time. Keep the visual brief attached to the sequence so the style stays coherent.

3. Establish the storyboard with GPT Image 2

Generate the key frames and review them together. Look for continuity, readable composition, and a clear progression from opening image to final beat. Refine individual frames before moving forward.

4. Prepare motion direction

For each approved shot, describe the subject movement, camera movement, timing, and atmosphere. Avoid asking every element to move at once. Clear priorities often produce a more intentional result.

5. Generate with Seedance 2.0

Use the approved visual direction to guide the video generation stage. Review the result shot by shot, then revise only the parts that need a different motion, framing, or performance.

This separation between story, storyboard, and motion keeps the process easier to understand—and gives you more chances to make a creative decision before the final render.
